Valerie Kathryn Harper was an American actress....
She is best remembered for her role as Rhoda Morgenstern on The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970–1977) and its spinoff Rhoda (1974–1978).
Valerie Harper is best remembered for her role as Rhoda Morgenstern on The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970–1977) and its spin-off, Rhoda (1974–1978). For her work on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, she received three Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, and later received the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on Rhoda.
Her other television credits include episodes of The Doctors, Love, American Style, Columbo, The Love Boat, Melrose Place, Touched by an Angel, Sex and the City, That '70s Show, Desperate Housewives, Hot in Cleveland, and 2 Broke Girls.
Harper also provided voice work for several episodes of The Simpsons and American Dad! Valerie was reunited with Mary Tyler Moore in the 2000 made-for-TV film, Mary and Rhoda.
